My own journey as a bartender began with a desire to open my own queer bar. This trip is part vacation, part work, and part research #millennialculture. As I travel across the country I will be collecting stories of Lesbian Americana from bar owners, bartenders, and barflies.

I grew up in Las Vegas, NV, went to high school in Reno, NV, and attending a performing arts college in Los Angeles, before moving to Vermont last summer to pursue bartending. Like many queer people, my coming out story is never ending and I won’t bore you with the details-yet. My laundry list of identities are queer, butch, tired, non-binary, slutty, genderqueer, gender shrug, trans, a Pisces, in love with the world around me.

But you can just call me a Dyke.
